495253it is idle to tin ink that things in life will last forever in one state, on the contrary, everything seems to go in cycles, or rather roundabout, summer follows on spring, autumn on summer, winter on autumn, and spring on w i n t e r and so time revolves on this continuous wheel, only human life speeds to its end faster than the wind, without hope of renewal, except in that other life which has no bo und s to limit it.

like others, we go to the park on Sundays and ride on buses and paint pictures and come home from work and make love, but unlike others, we live on hills, we live with a view, we go to school with it, play with it, work with it. we see it a dozen times a day. it is a part of each of us. for we live with it.
this is exciting, this is enriching, it has made us,i think, a little less uniform,a little more tolerant of the unusual, a little more interested in the unique, it has made us a little more alive.
laminmeanings will change as you learn to grow, and all that is known becomes suddenly old, and that which you had to last you til the end turns out to be just a passing friend. and would you spend your life away collecting great treasures so you'd be safe someday? and when you're grey, meanings will change: life's just that way. when you're finally sure, you think you understand, all about living and life's demands, someone will touch you and you'll see again, meanings will change; you just can't win.
after you get to where you have to be, after you own everything you see, when meanings don't change about the things you knew, you might as well die: it's over for you.
if you're wise and if you know what few things are real which never grow old, then take them now and make you a stand with a simple life and a simple heart.
marci122i must ask myself if i am able at times to pay relaxed attention to the sounds of daily life—wind and rain, the footsteps of passers-by, the voice of a child, the whirring of electrical instruments in the kitchen.
the secret of growth, the source of peace, the hidden source of spiritual living entails being dedicated to the humble events which bind my days together.
