Everyday life at the U of R is most often reflected in the faces of its students. Mail call, and one can read in the crestfallen face that the mailbox was far from over- flowing . . . Test day, and the panic-stricken features show how much he studied . . . The big weekend, and her waiting ear strains for the sound of the phone . . . The blind date, and his disgusted look tells plainly how it turned out . . . The long walk up the hill, and her pleading expression speaks loudly that she would love a ride . . . Meal time, and his face reflects his protest that the fare is far from caviar . . . A glance out the window, and her wistful eyes confess the homesickness she would like to hide . . . In so many little ways, faces tell the story of the year. 23
