THE ALUMNAE AND FORMER STUDENTS ' ASSOCIATION, INC The Alumnae Association is an educational, social and service organization. It was organized in 1893, with the ten graduates of the first class as charter members. They all planned to teach school in North Carolina. During these fifty- two years, the thousands of graduates of this college are to be found in practically every state in the union, and pre- vious to the war, in almost every country on the globe, and in every occupation and profession open to women. To- day, our representatives are enrolled also in every branch of the armed services, and are to be found doing their part overseas, as well as at home, to help win the war.
