the alumnae and former students association, inc. The spirit of the Alumnae Association really prevails when the Association has its annual meeting on the campus of Woman ' s College. It is then that we realize the true purpose of the organization, understand that it will be our contact with school after graduation and the friends we knew there. Of course we can ' t forget the warm hospitality for which the Association is so famous. Its members were here to welcome us as freshmen and have helped us keep up our morale the other three years. With great pleasure we look back and re- member the teas that the Association gave in the informal atmosphere of the Alumnae House. Because of the efforts of the Alumnae Association, we have the use of the Alumnae House, which has certainly be- come a symbol of our college life. The Association is the backbone of many college activities, offering us aid in our legislative program, establishing scholarships, and keeping in touch with former students. For the fine service it has rendered us each year, we salute the Alumnae Association of Woman ' s College. 15

administrative officers Jkeu rid and rbet Uld ' if Governor James Melville Broughton The students of Woman ' s College sincerely feel that they have real friends as their admin- istrative officers. We are proud to think that our interests are the same — new ways to make our college the best of its kind. Although we rarely have Governor Brough- ton on our campus in person, we know that he is looking out for Woman ' s College down in Raleigh. And we think, too, that even if Carolina claims Doctor Frank as its own, he keeps an eye out for his girls in Greensboro. With two such outstanding men of the South behind us, Woman ' s College will continue to climb in national standing. Dr. Frank Porter Graham 12
