Page Sixty-Four Panorama Y. W. C. A.--Y. M. C. A. The Y. W. C. A. and Y. M. C. A. are fellowships of students and faculty who are seeking full and creative life for themselves and for all people. We, the members of these associations, unite in the desire to realize full and cre- ative life. We determine to have a part in making this life possible for all people. In this task we seek to understand Jesus and follow Him. These associations welcome and seek to include in their membership all students in the institution who are in sympathy with the purpose of the organizations. Any such person mav become a member by signifying his desire to unite with those who are seeking to realize the purpose of the association, and by expressing his willing- ness to give as he is able of his time in furthering its work. The primary reason for the existence of these Christian associations on the over- organized, activity-minded campuses of today is that it is a voluntary religious movement. It is only in a religious movement that we are able to look at life in its entirety. In a time when education has become extremely scientific in its approach, it is highly important that religion be articulate in its function of giving value and meaning to life. The primary function, then, of the Christian associa- tions is to discover through study and insight the values inherent in religion and to make them effective in all our human relationship. Our accepted purpose states unmistakably that we believe in the philosophy of finding and sharing life together, to answer truly Jesus ' s teaching, " Thy kingdom come. Thv will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. " Page Sixty-Five Panorama Baptist Student Union Methodist Student Union Page Sixty-Six Athletics Panorama OFFICERS OF ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The purpose of this organization is to promote athletics and to foster good sports- manship in the student body.
