PRESIDENT JAMES E. SHORT President’s Message It is a privilege to be a part of this 1966 Chinook. Within its pages lies a partial history of one year in the life of an institution (in reality the first year as Western Montana College). Personnel come and go—History goes on—Western goes on—time goes on. A steady stream of graduates goes out to take positions as effective, productive members of society. As you look back on the year 1965-66 this Chinook will provide you a firm link and reminder of this year to correct the frailties of memory. May your memories be predominantly pleasant. A 8
