GUI? DEAN R. RINEHART, as Dean and as Student Adviser, has endeared himself to the student body. In him we find a ready listener, whose mild, under- standing manner of assisting us with our questions and problems makes him invaluable to the institution. His reliable advice and sound counsel are always readily accepted as being good. Dr. Rinehart has long been a leader in the dental profession, and since his association with the Western Dental College in 1913 as a lecturer on Crown and Bridgework, his rise to his present position of Dean was rapid. VVith the bringing together of the two dental schools of ,Kansas City to form the new Kansas City-Western Dental College, he held the following positions: Secretary-Treasurer, a member of the Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the Executive Committee in active charge of the college. Later his title was changed to'that of Executive Dean, and in 1927 he was made Dean. Being possessed of a progressive nature he set about improving stand- ards, purchasing new equipment, and gaining nation-wide recognition for the college. In 1927 the Dental Educational Council of America gave theischool a class A rating. i Page 14
