DEAN OF CONTINUING EDUCATION, Walter B. Wright The Division for Continuing Education was established by the University of Kan- sas City in 1954. Walter B. Wright, Dean of the Division for Continuing Education, has headed the Division since February 1963. I-Ie holds academic rank of Associate Pro- fessor of Business Administration and taught marketing and human relations in the School of Business Administration from 1960 until assuming his position in the Di- vision. The Division's responsibility is to provide an opportunity for the mature per- son, the decision-maker of today, to con- tinue his education throughout his lifetime in a manner peculiarly suited to the adult mind. During the next year special effort will be made by the Division to establish an ac- tive continuing education in the downtown business section of Kansas City. The high concentration of daytime population in that area offers unusual opportunity for expan- sion of varied educational activity of the University in the metropolitan area. DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND REGISTRAR, Leo J. Sweeney The Director of Admissions and Regis- trar's duties are varied and numerous. I..eo Sweeney is supervisor of admitting stu- dents, he councils with students before they register and he then controls the pro- cess of registration. Mr. Sweeney initiated the Data Processing system on the campus which has been one of the more important advances of the University. I-le is very ac- tive in several national organizations: Ameri- can Association of Collegiate Registrar and Registration Offices and the United States Office of Education.
