MR. LEO SWEENEY STUDENT RECRUITMENT The Chezflengex To interest students in attending our uni- : To find the method and then success- fully carry out the details. Mr. Leoj. Sweeney, Director of .Admissions and Registrar, and Mr. Ralph Henderson, Assistant Director of Admissions, formulated the initial plans and laid the groundwork. Funds were allocated to the project by the Student Council. Four studentsulim Fulbright, Tom Talbott, Richard Replogle, and Pam Patrick, were appointed to act as co-ordinators, and to organize the over one hundred student volunteers. These student recruitors called over five thousand high school seniors and gave them information about the university and other institutions. Campus tours were organized and counseling was conducted on a student to student level. The summer was successful in introducing U.K.C. to prospective students and in adding many of them to the student body. versity.
