Conservatory. . . ARCHIE N. JONES DEAN Following the merger of the University oil Kansas City and the Conservatory of Music of Kansas City in l959, Dr. Archie N. Jones was appointed as Dean of the new division of the University. He is a past president of the Southwestern Division of the Music Educators National Conference, and the author of over a hundred magazine articles, several textbooks, and has composed numerous choral pieces. Dr. Jones is listed in Who's Who in Music and in the monthly supplement of Who's Who in America. Under his direction the music curriculum has been extended, and degrees are at present granted on both the Bachelor's and lVlaster's levels, as well as the professional degrees formerly offered by the Conservatory. 21 I

9, A 2 'KP if ? f HAMILTON B. G. ROBINSON DEAN This year marked the third for Dean Hamilton B. C. Robinson with the University. He came to us from Ohio State University in l958, where he had served as As- sociate Dean of the College of Dentistry. He received his education from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Rochester, and served on the staff of Washington University from I937 to l944. He has served on the staff of numerous hospitals, and edited several dental journals and served as Chairman of the Board of Editors for Dental Survey. Among his many honors are included the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Award of Merit in l959, honorary membership in the Federation Dentaire Nationale Francaise, and the Tufts University Award in l958. Dean Robinson is a past president of the Columbus Dental Society, the American Academy of Oral Pathology, Faucharcl Academy, and others, and a former trustee of the American Cancer Society. He is looking forward with the rest of the University to the day when the proposed new Dental Center, to be located at 5lst and Rockhill Road, will become a reality.
