l Completing his second full year as Chancellor of The University of Kansas City, Dr. Richard M. Drake may look back on a highly success- ful year. All the schools of the University have made great advances in curriculum, faculty and the quality of student training. The Busi- ness School was reorganized, making it a more effective link in the chain of education. The Second Quarter Century Program attracted out- standing speakers and musicians to enhance the UKC campus, focusing attention on the many aspects of value this campus holds for the community. Dr. Drake has maintained his usual, close contact with the students, realizing, after all, students do have thoughts on their own education. Plans for the new Center have nearly become a reality, with plans progressing for the Science center to include new Dentistry and Pharmacy facilities so sorely needed by the University. The community has become very much aware of UKC's presence, and the part it should play for Kansas City Chancellor's inauguration through the televised ceremony, and the television coverage of the Symposium on Urban Education. 20 chancellor
