C The Student Cou ncll HE STUDENT Council of the University of Kansas City consists of representatives from the various classes and schools that make up the student body of the university. Through the formation of various committees, the council aids in solving problems arising out of the extra-cur- 12 ricular program, in the formulation and distribu- tion of the activity fee budget, in the supervision of student elections, and in selecting Who's Who members and the editors of the U-News and Kangaroo. MCGRATH came to the University of Kansas City in the summer of 1953 to assume the duties as president of one of the most up and coming universities in the Mid-west. Working in the field of education since 1928, Dr. McGrath was U. S. Commissioner of Education before com- ing to U K C. Intercollegiate basketball is already a reality under Dr. McGrath's administration, with the promise of a more extensive sports program next year.
