" My eyes well when they meet any piece of the land that helped me make my journey from boy to man. Coming ' home 1 for induction into the University ' s Alumni Hall of Fame was the ultimate honor for a young man who was taught to dream lofty dreams. Only a generation separates me from my father, who once made a living picking cotton. Ole Miss helped me travel farther than that, to create a life for my children that my own parents would not have thought possible. So much symbolism rests in the Hall of Fame honor. I will live my life working to make Ole Miss as proud of me as I am of this oustanding institution.
