Opportunities for developing organizational lead- ership and initiative abound within a full program of com- munity service and profession- al activities. Students preparing for careers in all healthcare fields, who fulfill both course and scholastic requirements may join this fellowship devot- ed to premedical education. Beta Gamma Sigma chap- ters may be char tered only in those schools of business and accountancy accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. The Alpha of Mississippi chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma was chartered at Ole Miss in 1944. To be eligible for Beta Gamma Sigma membership, students must rank in the top seven percent of the junior class, the top ten percent of the senior class, or in the top twenty percent of those students receiving master ' s degrees. Students who have completed all requirements for the doctoral degree conferred by the School of Business or School of Accountancy are also eligible for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. The purposes of Beta Gamma Sigma are to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business adminis- tration, to promote the advancement of education in the art and science of business, and to foster integrity in all aspects of life.
