Kappas exhibit famous baroom aptitude, the beginning, the niave little girls gathered their belongings and came from everywhere to Ole Miss to enter sorority rush. Clad in their Sunday-best, they nervously began the hectic week. They worried- about what to wear, what to say, and when to say it. All the decorations, parties, and entertainment amazed them, and the confused swirl of mystical Greek letters frightened them. But anxiety prevailed on the other side, too. Every sorority girl has a hometown favorite. Would she get a bid? Would she take it if it were offered? Then came the mixed emotions—the tears and the laughter—of the final hours, and finally the girls had their precious little ribbons. 0 lord, give us a good pledge class ... for once!
