The United Nations has its Assembly, the President has his Cabinet and Old Miss has its Legislative Council. Composed of the four A.S.B. officers, the president of each School in the University, the Editor of the Mississippian, and the President of the W.S.G.A., the Council serves as an advisory body for the President and as a steering committee for student government. Devoting itself to furthering student interests and to the overall welfare of the University, the individual members of the Council point their efforts toward the promotion of a strong student government and the creation of an atmo sphere of progress and hospitality.
