This yeai-'s Quad got off to several false starts before settling down to the management of frustrated-journalist A1 Olson. Ed Langs was the initial editor, but had to abandon the project in its formative stages for personal reasons. Ron Gilbert became acting editor and hovered over the scraps during their incubation period before the present editor was named. Ron then became assistant editor and, in that capacity, has handled too much work with too little credit. The cover, size, book layout, and book content are solely the fault of the editor. All objections may be forwarded to next year's editor. Inciden- tally, the covers are supposed to convey an image of the ancient Domesday Books. . .in case you're wondering whether one of our sponsors is a lumber company. The humorous CD section dividers are the artistry of John Nolon. Charlie Eisendrath, a real-live journalism student, contributed the material for the precedent-shattering section on the Law School. Griff Garwood did a fine job as business manager the sells ads and gets a tremendous rake-offj. Ed Langs, George Cooney, and Tony Hume gobbled up nine-tenths of the book's budget in a wild scramble to see who could use the most film while taking this year's Quad pictures. Bob Viewig demonstrated tremendous pa- tience in putting together the Senior section, and Roger Leeds turned in the expected performance on organizations.
