JOSEPH R. JULIN Professor of Law Born in 1926, Mr. Julin receivedhis B.S.L.degree in 1949 and his LL.B.degree in 1952,both from North- western. He was admitted to practice in Illinois in 1952 and in Michigan in 1960. He practiced law in Illinois from 1952 to 1959. He was a lecturer at Northwestern University Law School from 1953 to 1959. He was an associateprofessor at the University of Michigan Law School from 1959 to 1962 and has been a professor of law here since 1962. His subjects are Wills, Property, Future Interests, Conveyancing, and Oil and Gas. Professor Julin is married and has four children. -frm FRANK E. COOPER Part Time Professor of Law Mr. Cooper was born in 1910 and has received two degrees from the University of Michigan, an A.B. in 1931, and a J.D. in 1934. He has practiced in Detroit since 1934-where he is now a member of the firm of Beaumont, Smith Sz Harris. He teaches Administrative Tribunals and Legal Writing, and has three recent books-The Lawyer and Administrative Agencies, 1957, Living the E, 1959, and Writing in Legal Practice, 1962. mi PAUL D. CARRINGTON Visiting Associate Professor of Law Mr. Carrington was born in 1931, received his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1952, and his LL.B. from Harvard in 1955. He was a Teaching Fellow at Harvard from 1957-58 and was Assistant Professor of Law at Wyoming from 1958-60. He is now an Associate Professor of Law at Ohio State and is a member of the Texas Bar Association. He is married and has four children. 30

HAROLD A. J. FORD Visiting Professor of Law Mr. Ford is a Professor of Law at the University of Melbourne since 1962. He received his LL.B., and LL.M. at the University of Melbourne and his S.J.D. at Harvard. He is author of Unincorporated Non-profit Associations and Cases on Trusts. He is married and has one daughter. JACQUES HEENEN Visiting Professor of Law Born in 1915, Mr. Heenen is aprofessor at the Brussels Uni- versity. He is author of Vente et Commerce Maritime and Principes de Droit Commercial. He taught a seminar in European Business Organization with Professor Alfred Conard during the fall term 1964. KARL P. WARDEN Visiting Professor of Law Professor Karl P. Warden is a visiting Associate Professor from Denver University. He holds an LL.B. from West Virginia University and an LL.M. from the University of Michigan. He has taught at University of Denver 11959-641, the University of Kansas 119643 and has been a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin. While at the University of Michigan, Pro- fessor Warden taught Criminal Law.

JAY J. LEVIT Instructor in Law Born in 1934, Mr. Levit received his A.B. from Western Reserve University in 19555 his LL.B. from University of Richmond Law School in 19585 his LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1959. He was in association with a law firm in Richmond, Virginia from 1959-60 during which time he also completed his active duty military obligation as a medical corpsman trainee in the U.S. Army. From 1960-64 he was an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice specializing primarily in gov- ernment contract litigation both on trial and appellate levels in the U.S. Court of Claims. He is married and has one son. Mr. Levit is an instructor in Problems and Re- search at the Law School. ev tx WILLIAM H. PAINTER Visiting Professor of Law Born in 1927, Mr. Painter received his A.B. from Princeton University in 1950. After a year of graduate work in Philosophy at Princeton he entered the Harvard Law School, where he received his LL.B. in 1954. He practiced in New York City from 1954 until 1958 and was admitted to the New York Bar in 1955. In 1958 he was appointed a Teaching Fellow at Harvard Law School and, in 1959, he joined the faculty of the Villanova School of Law outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he has concentrated in Corporate law and Federal Income Taxa- tion. He also currently teaches a seminar in Financial Reorganization of Corporations. He is married and has two children. -,.. - 2-V, lm. 4 ,IW I I ia 4 JACK H. FRIEDENTHAL Visiting Associate Professor of Law Mr. Friedenthal was born in 1931, received his A.B. from Stanford in 1953 and LL.B. from Harvard in 1958. He was an Assistant Professor of Law at Stanford from 1958-61, Associate Professor from 1961-64 and now is a full Professor. He is currently teaching Pleading and Joinder and Evidence at Michigan. He is also a member of the California Bar Associationg is married and has two children.
