A new frontier which presents the world with a new hope, a new dream - that there is a place where the civilizations of the world can start anew, with unity, peace, and understanding among all - this is what man's first steps on the moon represented. We, as newly graduated nurses have new hopes and dreams too. ln a sense, we are starting anew ourselves. As we dedicate our new lives, let us look forward to the future with our eyes looking up and our efforts reaching out, striving for a unity among all peoples. With this in mind, we dedicate PLEDGE 70 to the concept of UNITY, hoping this concept will become something tangible, and hoping that each of us may play a part in making it so. C, 1 ,-PH, J CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 1970 FROM THE STUDENT COUNCIL BALTIMORE CAMPUS T ! I' EPELOGUE Looking back over this past year as co-editors of PLEDGE 70, vve re- member many experiences. We especially remember the meeting we had last June to begin planning for this year's yearbook. lt vvas at this meeting that vve conceived the idea of the theme - unity as depicted by the moon landing. We chuckle novv at the memory of our excitement and exuberance. lt has been this excitement that has helped the staff over some rough spots this past year. In a sense, the theme has unified the staffs of the two campuses. Our enthusiasm over the cover and the photographs available to us served as a unifying force in times of strife. Novv, at last, we present to you PLEDGE 70 - may it be meaningful and enjoyable! l We would like to extend special thanks to our advisors, lVliss Carol Moran and LTC IVlarian Barbieri, for their patience and endurance! We would also like to thank our staff for their labors and dedication.
