Bloomington-34 This year's Guinea Pig cagers started out the basketball season under the direction of a new coach, "Lindy" Linhart. However, Mr. Linhart turned over the job of the actual coaching to Mr. William Hacker, who did some fine work with it. Although the U. H. S. team won only half the games of the season, it went into the Sectional at Martinsville with an abundance of fight and with at least half the school present to support it. The boys made short work of Paragon in the afternoon session. Then in the evening, every- thing was tense, for U. H. S. was going out on the floor to meet, for the first time, the veteran and powerful B. H. S. five. The boys showed us in that game that they could really play basketball. No, the Guinea Pigs did not wing but they surely won distinction, and they displayed a spirit that must have been hidden somewhere earlier in the season. They deserved all the rousing cheers given them. It was a great game.
