l.eroy Peyton. Iaines Heavey, Charlotte Ratcliffe Senior Class XX7ith jim Heavey, Leroy Peyton, Charlotte Ratcliffe, and Bob Cass serving as presi' dent,, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer respectively, the class of I9-42 had a gay year. Here is a brief resume of the various activities of the Senior class: A three-act play, Alice Sit by the Fire, directed by Miss Ruth Yates, was presented by the seniors on March 9, Charlotte Ratcliffe and Bill Ellison had the leading roles in this play. The seniors held their annual picnic near the end of the school year, and on .lune 2, Dr. Wziggoner gave a tea for them. The beautiful and very impressive baccalaure- ate service was held on May Bl, Senior class night, high in spirit and gay in activity, was the most recent of the senior activities. A typical feature of the Senior class was the Senior Board, composed of representa- tives from the class. lt was the duty of this board to make decisions, in behalf of the en- tire class, on problems confronting it. This year's board took charge of the commence- ment invitations, the activities of class night, and other events. The board was composed of Audrey Genders, Dick Hall, Harlan Bliss, and the class officers. Mr. lvens was the sponsor of the Senior class and faculty adviser of the Senior Board. The most important event for the seniors during their entire high school career was held on june 5. The graduation exercises were very impressive with the seniors in their grey caps and gowns marching in and then out for the last time. After four years of hard work, the seniors had achieved their final victory.
