PRESIDENT HARMON W. CALDWELL Dr Caldwell received his B A degree after two years ' work at the University of Georgia. He received his law degree at Harvard in 1924. He was later conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws by Emory, Mercer, and Tulane Universities Dr. Caldwell was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1926, and taught law at Emory Uni- versity for a short time. Upon leaving Emory he became Professor of Law at the University of Georgia, becoming Dean of the Lumpkin Law School in 1933. In 1935 he was chosen by the Board of Regents as President of this University. WILLIAM TATE Dean of Students Dean Tjtc explains the housing problem to a veteran Dean Tate received his A.B. Degree from the University of Georgia in 1924 and his A M. Degree from the University in 1928. He also attended Columbia University and Harvard. Before becoming Dean of Students in 1942, he was Dean of Freshmen. While a student at Georgia, Dean Tate served as president of the Y.M.C.A and was a member of the Cross Country Track Team. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
