Called upon for innumerable tasks for both univer- sity personnel and alumni, the Alumni Affairs staff keeps up-to-date with all University and alumni activities. As a means of communication, the University News Bu- reau corresponds with all state newspapers and magazines concerning university and individual student activities, and publishes the Florida Alumnus. The Florida Union, home of all student activities, pro- vides services to student and faculty organizations, and houses many conventions and large meetings that concern a variety of things relating to the University. THE GENERAL EXTENSION DIVISION, a combined state and University agency, literally extends the faculty and facilities of our school to all those Floridians who cannot be resident students in Gainesville. Thus the University is made a truly statewide institution serving the needs of all Florida. Serving thousands each year in various capacities such as public service training, business courses, workshops, and citizenship training courses for aliens, the General Extension Division is versatile. Florida Film Classics League and their lending library, boast many circula- tion filmstrips and films another part of the many activities that the Division produces and sponsors. BERT C. RILEY.
