An injured I-Iunsinger and Wildcat George Blanda's bombsight passing spelled a 34-15 defeat for the Orange and Blue gridders, but Doug Belden hit 14 of 21 tosses to keep the statistics close. The Alabama tiff was a Florida ball game for two and a half quarters. With Hunsinger the Humdinger in top form thc Gators led by a substan- tial eight points late in the third period. The Crimson Tide came out on top 34-28, but Florida's ace left half outpointed 'Bama's Ed Salem, 18-16. Against non-conference opposition the Wolfmen were unbeatable.
