It's great in '48 homecoming was one of the most suc- cessful ever held, with the Gators beating the Miamians for the state grid crown and alumni and FBK activities celebrating the organizationis 25th anniversary. The Florida Blue Key Speakers' Bureau, ably directed by Bill Castagna this spring, was perhaps the most im- portant in the history of the university, for this was the year of the Six-year Plan and the budget slash. With these issues in mind, speakers boosted the university with added vigor as they spoke in communities all over the state. 236 Members not pictured above are: C. Hardee, Art Forehand, Joe McLaughlin, Bill Byrd, Al Cone, Leon Whitehurst, Bill Scruggs, and Herman Edwards.
