New records were set when 27 new brothers donned the emeralds and pearls during I942-43 to swell the chapter roll well past the ZOO mark. Fall Frolics started the social year off with a bang. Minus tires and gas, plus more parking, highlights of the week-end were another Tep musical extravaganza with original script, music, and lyrics by Irving Fleet and Arthur Bookbinder, and a jam-up picnic. With a finger in every pie, Tau Epsilon Phi scored again this year in Intramurals to bring home a first in ping-pong doubles, and leading the field in other sports. EUGENE SOMBERG HAROLD FEINBERG JERRY MINNENBERG MURRAY HAHN GILBERT CHENKIN On campus Tep men have been active. Politics are not to be overlooked, and political plums have fallen thick and fast. Stuart Newman was elected vice-prexy of the senior class, and president of Sigma Delta Chi, Milton Fischbein was appointed to the Honor Court and served as president of Beta Alpha Psi, Sol Alexander was named to head the Florida chapter of the American Chemical Society, Eugene Somberg served as president of the Junior l.F.C., and on the freshman class executive council. Other hep Teps are Irving Fleet, Arthur Book- binder, Al Schneider, and Charles Weinstein. Blow of the year was the sale of Tau Alice, the house jitney. Military Ball topped it all off with a new record of frivolity. What with a Tep Hay- loft Hop, a moonlight picnic, and another Tep show, a huge time was had by all, Tep men who are doing their part for Uncle Sam, and who left school this year are Milton Fischbein, Jason Berkman, San- ders Kattleman, Herbie Sussman, Stuart Newman, Sidney Dubbin, Frank Rosenblatt, Al Schneider, Louis Leibovit, Al Haber, Bob Rippa, Arthur Chorost, Herbie Willin- sky, Julius Bearman, and Joel Cohen.

Mamie, the house- mother laughed with the gang, and members and o few pledges danced through pledge week. Then the year got underway, and the fellows trickled away. Five were called by the enlisted reserves, some were drafted, others volunteered. Richards wrote the fellows he was learning to fly a plane at a Virginia air base. Mclnvale wrote from an Army camp out West. A few letters from marked c:ensored . And at the end of the year a little huddle of Theta Chi's were left. They would be in uniform in a few days, but like the fellows who'd already gone, they were waiting until they could return, unmolested by the war. It was a Theta Chi who said, War is hell . But with Theta Chi's it's still Country, Alma Mater, and Theta Chi.
