JUNE 6, 1876 JANUARY 8, 1930
The world of science recognized and
admired his deep and comprehensive
learning, the entire University felt and
profited by the force of his ideas. The
College of Enginering, over which he
presided as Dean for so many years,
stands a monument to his ability as an
administrator, to the inspiring power of
his steadfast character. His students
knew this, and took pride in itg but for his
kindly, understanding nature, they loved
him. Believing that the University has
lost one whose influence will always be
felt, we dedicate this, the twenty-first
volume of the SEMINOLE.

L. D. REAGIN, JR.
Let us pause to pay tribute to one
who is missing among us. Leslie Dyer
Reagin, Jr., of Sarasota, who met his
death in an automobile accident near
Jacksonville on Thanksgiving evening,
was one of the state's most promising
young men. In spite of his youth he
had become quite well known in news-
paper circles, having been for some
time Vice-President of the Times Pub-
lishing Company of his native city.
Although only a freshman in the
University, he had made numerous
friends by his pleasing personality
and cheery disposition.
