SEMINOLE 1927 COLLEGE Ol LAW XT IS I ho purpose of l he College of Law lo impart a thorough, scientific, and practical knowledge of the law. It aims to develop keen, efficient lawyers, conversant with the ideals and traditions of the professions. Its policy is characterized hv the emphasis of practice as well as theory; pleading as well as historical perspective: skill in brief making as well as legal information. The advantages of a thorough ami systematic course of instruction in the common law. with special consideration of the peculiarities and exceptions applicable in Florida, arc many and evident and in addition, organized practice courts are regular features of the third year of the curriculum. The object is to give the student practical instruction in pleading and practice at law and in equity in addition to experience in the preparation ami trial of cases. The College is registered by the Board of Kegents of .New York, is a member of the American Association of Law Schools, and is classed as an “A school bv the American Bar Association. It strive also to develop in its students a keen insight into human affairs, human relationships and human problems. The college attempts to prepare its graduates for positions of importance in the educational world. It is the policy of the Teuehcrs College that the students shall know much about the subject the) expect to leach, hut it is npialU as important that they should he resourceful in leaching a class or skillful in managing a school or ys-tern of schools. W ith the recent great increase in the Health and population of the State of Florida and the strides forward in developing an educational system to meet the increased demand, teachers and instructors of the pro|H r training are necessary. As an associate member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, the College receives full recognition for it-courses from all state hoards n qniring attendance in a school of pharmacy as a prerequisite for examination ami registration. Although all schools are required to maintain certain minimum requirements for entrance and for graduation. the College prides itself on the fact that all of its requirements are far in excess of this minimum. The Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology has done considerable work in the development of a garden of medicinal plants. Particular attention is given to those plants which do not grow well in regions farther north, upon which investigations must be made at this I niversilv.
