JiappcL Si cp nioL The Kappa Sigmas gave up their beautiful house on Pennsylvania street this year to the Freshmen, but they still managed to hold many dances, both here and in Denver. The chapter was founded on this campus the year before the United States entered the first World war, and again this year the chapter has said goodbye to many of its members going to fight for Victory. Outstanding members of the fraternity are John Quimby, N.R.O.T.C., officer junior year, Silver and Gold staff member for four years. Phi Epsilon Phi, political organ- izer; Ralph Scruby, again made a three point average. 0idjta, JaiL (DsdtcL The Delts were very patriotic this year. They turned their house into a dormitory, so the freshman girls could be next door to the Navy V-5 ' s. Even though the Delts are scattered, they manage to meet with their housemother. Mother Ladd. She is the main force keeping her boys together. A dinner dance at Wayne ' s constituted their social ac- tivity, but more spontaneous parties were not lacking. Most of the Delts are in Navy units on campus. Some are prominent in their groups. They are particularly proud of their president and A.S.U.C. Commissioner, Keith Miller. fihl CDdJtcL Jhsda, Football is the main activity of the Phi Delts. They are very proud of Paul Briggs ' nomination lo the Ail- American team. Dykstra and Gardner also played for C. U. Another athlete is Stan Norrine, a half-miler. The Phi Delts have cut down on their social activities this year, but they had a beer bust with the Thetas, and a radio dance with the Delta Gammas. WAVES now live in their house, and most of the boys on campus are in the Navy program. An outstanding member of the Phi Delts is Hobart Potter. He was chairman of the Engine Ball, on the Dodo and Colorado Engineer, and in Ski Club.
