CROSS COUNTRY iNTERVIEW wITH cHRISTIN wURTH fROM bLOOMINGTON, IL bYkRISTINA wATKINS aLL pHOTOS bY gERARD dAVENPORT Q: How did the youth affect the team’s success throughout the season? A: The freshmen did a tremendous job of stepping in and fulfilling some big roles. To have six runners in the top 15 in the SEC is awesome. Throughout the season they kept improving to help the team. Q: How have you improved? A: Well, I went from being the 4th runner last year to the 2nd runner this year in order to help the team by example. Each meet you go td you run your hardest, and that’s all you can do. That’s all anyone cs expect out of you. I do my best and I let God do the rest. Q: What is the experience of being a front runner at a Division I school? A: I try to help the young runners by giving them knowledge about what to expect at races. The experience is fun, and the thing with th team is that we bind together as friends too.
