Kitchens: .22222 222.22 ee The founders of Phi Lambda Chi, in creating an organization, opened the door to great opportunities for students of teacher training. The college fraternity is somewhat : unique; it is an organization of which every member is proud and for which every brother | ‘ has labored. On January 14, 1940 a group of Phi Lambda Chi fraternity men from Arkansas State Teachers College at Conway, Arkansas, came to Arkansas A. M. College to install the baby organization on our campus, the Gamma Chapter of Phi Lambda Chi Fraternity. On that date ten men were initiated, who wee to make and did make Gamma Chapter a major organization on our campus. Since that time Gamma has initiated thirty-four outstanding men of our college, who rank high in their respective chosen field and likewise enjoy a position of leadership and distinction on our campus. The men of Phi Lambda Chi 1940-41 will turn through these pages in later years and remember old friends, who, together with themselves helped to build this chapter in its younger years. They will remember the anniversary banquet, January 12, celebrating the progress of this first year.
