-x .--rg ll- - -V -V F OREWORD It was a pretty good year-wasn't it? It was a year of crisis. The world shuddered-and progress- ed. It W-as a year of doubts. And yet we saw the way paved for realization of a generation of dreams-our Medical Center began approaching reality. It was like many another year, though. Freshmen ripened from their greenness. Sophomores were humbled. juniors strutted their whltes. And the Seniors - well, bless their hearts. We enjoyed putting this record of an eventful year to press. We regret that all happenings could not be recorded, yet we hope that faces will remind you of all that happened. We express sincere appreciation to all who cooperated in making this book possible-espcially to Dr. A. W. McCul- lough, Dr. Owen Beard, Dr. Horace Marvin, Mr. E. W.
