Sadly, many people evaluate an institution solely on its athletic department's success. Happily, Westark has a successful program. Baseball. Basketball. Golf. Intramurals. It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you play the game. Sounds good if you aren't participating. But when it's 65-64 with 30 seconds left in the game- winning seems to become everything. Westark fields more than five or nine players in a game-it fields the whole school. Students. Faculty. Administrators. They all want the Lions to win. For themselves. For the players.
