Dr. Ernest N. Patty, President CONTROL OF NATURE IS WON-NOT GIVEN Many of the graduates of the class of 1955 are destined to pjay an important part in the future of Alaska as engineers, scientists, business people, or educators. The stage upon which you will play your role is a large and ' challenging one. In a frontier country you will frequently come into contact with the primitive forces of nature. Remember that the control of nature is won— not given. Set your sights high— make big plans— and work to make them come true. ERNEST N. PATTY, President
