Dedication We dedicate this book to Dr. WUlibald II eniger, who retired May. 1955 after devoting over forty years of his life to the anse of education and to the advance of science. Becoming head of the Combined Department of Phytic and Electrical Engineering after lie retired as Dean of the graduate school at Oregon State I niversity in 1951. Dr. W eniger gave lip many of his summers to the task of building up the department and its equipment. But more than being a tireless norker Dr. W eniger has been a friend and elder advisor to people in general at the I niversity of Alaska. To him, a man who has devoted his life and efforts to his fellow men, we dedicate this DENAU.
