UANSA A I PRESIDENT - Claudette Coleman The University of Alabama Nursing Students' Associ- ation is the schoo1's pre-professional organization designed to promote and uphold high professional standards, to aid the students in professional growth, development, and unity, and to acquaint them with the professional nursing organizations. Membership is open to all basic nursing students with annual dues of ten dollars, which includes memership on a school, district, state, and national level. School and district meetings are held each month, and members may attend annual state and national workshops and conventions. UANSA has also sponsored the SAMA clinic for two years as a community project. This pro- ject provides excellent learning experience as well as many happy, rewarding hours.

udiciary Council The Judiciary Council is responsible for implementing the privileges and regulations of group living. This year the Judiciary Council also worked to update old rules, and an extensive revision of the Student Handbook was made, Student Affairs Committee The Student Affairs Committee is composed of faculty members and student leaders who work together to coordinate all student activities. Besides helping the students in implementing their ideas for social events such as parties and dances, this committee may also serve as a sounding board for student grievances.
