Grandpa (Bar-ly Alberter) Wads tin family in a prayer for the safe return of Arthur (A r 1 i n Altimus), the fiance of Susan (C arol e Mattcm). “Grandpa Hangs the Holly” a Christmas play with music, was presented by the Senior High Dramatics Club in the high school auditorium, December 20, 1957. The play, a three-act comedy-drama, was directed by Mr. John Watta. The play concerns Grandpa, who lives with his son and daughter-in-law, the Howards, and who is somewhat a modern day Scrooge alxmt Christmas. Ever since his wife died on Christmas Eve 25 years ago, he has held a grudge against this particular time of year. He thinks that no one, especially his son and family, should lie happy or have a joyous holiday. Happily for Grandpa, and the audience, something special takes place to give him a complete change of heart and mind about the blessed season. The family waits anxiously as Grandpa calls the airport to inquire about Arthur’s plane, which is lost in a snow storm.
