Two reporters, Barbara and Cynthia, examine the articles which thev wrote in the finished paper. Slue a uf White £tar The school paper, the Blue and White Star, exists for four main reasons: (1) to inform students of school and community activities; (2) to serve as a means of communication and expression to students; (3) to stimulate thought and encourage opinion about subjects vital to high school students; and (4) to act as a unifying force between the students and the members of the faculty and administration. Last year the Blue and White Star earned a second place rating in the University of Pittsburgh High School Publications Contest; and rated first place with the highest honors of all Class B school newspapers in the entire state. The basic skills of newspaper work are taught to the juniors in a special journalism class by the newspaper advisor, Mr. Vargo. oo

The setting was a dude ranch in Arizona w here Guldv, a scheming ranch manager played by Warren Smith, was attempting to swindle Lettie, the pretty heroine portrayed by Peggy McCachren, out of her dude ranch. But two cowboys, acted by Kent East and Joe Mulligan, frustrate his plans and save the ranch. 24
