Varsity Football The United Joint High School football squad finished its annual football season undefeated. It is the best record made in the history of the school. It finished with a three-way tie with Ebensburg and Barnesboro, for first place in the district and were Indiana County Champs. The seniors to make the Indiana Evening Gazette's All-County first team were: Thomas Rainey, who made offensive center; Charles Mitchell, who made offensive an ddefensive end; and Jay Sanner, a junior, made offensive and defensive fullback. Seniors to make Honorable Mention were: Edward Houser and Robert Rengh. The juniors include: Buck (Split-T) Rodgers, Grant McLaughlin and Ronald Patrick. The graduates are: Charles Mitchell. Edward Houser, Thomas Rainey, Marlin Betts, Daniel Machak, Eugene Loder, Samuel La Rosa, Robert Rengh, William Bolgar, and Homer McDowell. The 1952 track team did very well as compared to other years. They were Indiana County champs, and won permanent possession of the Mile Relap Cup.
