I SHALL make every effort to uphold the ideals of my training. 100 ATHLETICS Cheerleaders These agile and spirited cheerleaders, so full of vigor and vitality, are the back- bone of our athletic teams. Not to be forgotten is the important role that the pep squad plays. Bubbly, bouncing pep leaders pictured on this page are Cynthia Murphy, Frances Taylor, Brookie Lewis, Barbara Harris, Sylvia Brown, Lavern Dildy, and Gloria Macer. 102 betu Coke 4 A A 4fc DOWN YDS TO GO . All of these test the stamina of any runner and these boys always proved themselves equal to the test. Hours of conditioning and train- ing go into building the muscles and stamina for pole vaulting, trotting and disc throwing. 107 [XII Basketball These boys take the hooking of a large round ball into an elevated net seriously- -almost as a way of life. By applying drive and determination to team- work and the skills and knowledge of the game and mixing in an indestructible desire to excel, this team has discovered the for- mula that makes for sure and solid success. r - 109 Superlatives HIM HER Clifton Foreman Donald Petty George Johnson Dannis Tillery Barnett Thoroughgood Sylvester Mayfield Marvin Owens Donald Grimstead Fentrell L.
