The elected officers are as follows: President ,......,..,,, ....Y ll lax Hoaglin Vice President .,,,,,,,.,,,,,,, Rosalyn Fisher Secretary and Treasurer ,,,. Evelyn Girod Reporter ..,...............,.......... .... D orothy Miller Student Council ...., ..... R egina Pierce Advisor ..........................,...........,....,.,....,....,.,..,....,.,................,. Mrs. Foster ltfs said that the junior and senior years of school are the busiest, but if the sen- iors were as busy as we juniors this year, they had something on us. As was traditional, we juniors had the concessions at the basketball gamees and sold Christmas cards. This we enjoyed doing because the money we earned will help pay for our class trip at the end of our senior year. VVe also sold magazines with the fifth, sixth. seventh. and eighth grades. Since the juniors did the bookwork, we re- ceived a, larger per cent of the profits. The juniors and seniors took several interesting and educational field trips. The places we visited were: The Van WVert Times-Bulletin office, the lnte1'national Har- vester plant in Fort VVayne. and the Lima Hospital for the criminally insane. On April 43, the juniors and seniors of all the high schools in the county attended the annual vocational guidance course in Van VVert. The annual county music festival was held on April 29, at the Hoaglin-Jackson school. The junior and senior prom was held o11 lllay 16. at the Fort VVayne Y.M.C,A, with the juniors decorating and planning the program. At the Baccalaureate and Commence- ment services the juniors will escort the seniors to their place of honor. NVe were sorry to lose one of our pupils, Ellen Jean Schaadt, at the end of the school year. Although she will be gone, we will never forget her. ln closing we will say, "See you next, year when 'we are seniors", and to Mrs. Fos- ter we would like to express our thanks for sticking by us this year. We appreciated it very much. 744 W' If 1 1 1-111 1: ,111 is -A-txvg 11, 11-1114 1, 1111 , s A-H1 vii V51 121 'S J 111, 1 +1-Qwwlvw ' 'Rm 11-4-1 wh MAL 1: li my-11-nv 6141141 ,, Q10 uafvfii 1421 ,ng U 1 11-M-1-1? 141' 11-14 "'3Ui1-414144-4' 1' 1.-H1114 NY!!! ffff 'lf 511 111,'F?a-0-111 yi? 1.11: M ' 1 1 1 1 -1: f1f?l'2l141 XVGPSIIQII ,E ir Y 111 251-If ,. Mr. Richard Harris, the "Cats" installed a new system, turning from the run and go game. to a more slow and deliberate form of ball. The team lost three first stringers by graduation in 1951. The first five composed of john Taylor and john Trimble, forwardsg Trevor jones. een- terg and -Ioe Roth and jim Clark, guards. ln the early part of the season Max lloaglin also saw a lot of action. Rex Roth, John Myers, and llarold XYortman. freshmen. played often in the role of substitutes. Ohio City came out league champs without losing a contest. Wlren, XVill- shire, and lloaglin-jackson tied for second. Union won only one league con- test to tie for the cellar with Ridge and York. Under the new coach, Mr. Richard Harris, the "Cats" installed a new system, turning from the run and go game, to a more slow and deliberate form of ball. The team lost three first stringers by graduation in 1951. The first five composed of john Taylor and John Trimble, forwardsg Trevor Jones, cen- terg and joe Roth and Jim Clark, guards. In the early part of the season Max Hoaglin also saw a lot of action. Rex Roth, John Myers, and Harold XVortman, freshmen, played often in the role of substitutes. Ohio City came out league champs without losing a contest. Wren, Will- shire, and Hoaglin-Jackson tied for second. Union won only one league con- test to tie for the cellar with Ridge and York. Next year the Wildcats will have eleven of the tourney twelve reporting for the '52-'53 season. LEAGUE STANDINGS W L Ohio City ...... ......
