But she was thought of often, and with love. Only she never knew. She never knew. The secret that will unfold to no one. Someone will tell her now that she is in heaven. But we will never tell her, because Susan isn’t coming home. As a friend, we would sing along. As a girl, she would sing along. As herself, she would live along Although she’s gone. She still lives within us. And her laughter will still be heard by many ears. Untouched by fear, unhurt by love, and deep within herself. 3 School Board Of Education Members President-Charles Mahoney Vice President-Helen Brancazio Secretary-John Zuccaro, Sr. Treasurer-Jacquelyn Bianchi Members-Merle Ayres former John Barish Donald Grey Manuel Fernandez William Hemphill Emre Sedlak Administration Dr. John A. The main reason for this is the energy crisis which does not permit the schools to have any activities during the night. We have had a few dances which turned out to be a big success for the students. Christmas Brings Smiles The annual Children’s Hospital Fund raising, held by the student council, once again got off to a good start with a dance. Amy Miller played Santa Claus for the evening. Pam Lira was Santa Claus also for the kids in nursery school. 81 Candids 82 Football Candids Varsity Football Our mightly devils once again proved to be number 1. With inexperienced school photographers and a broken camera it was difficult to get enough pictures to fill the empty pages. Snow also kept us from work and sometimes we wondered if we would ever get the book done in time. But with the few members that were left by December we struggled and worked hard to prove to ourselves that we could do it. We found the true meaning of “When the going gets rough, the tuff get going. Most people take advantage of those on the yearbook staff. IF the yearbook is bad, you blame the staff, but when the book comes out good you don't give the credit where credit is due. Being on the staff means you are willing to give up alot of your time. Often we have spent many hours after school to work on the yearbook. We have done and redone dummy sheets and triplicate sheet till it came out right. We have worked long and hard, it might not be the best but at least someone tried. The Editor-Andrea Plance Assistant-Pam Lira WALSWORTH Marrrline, Mo., U.S.A.
