Q v v t . . ts , , . r U . o SENIORS Pa e Twelve MABEL KATHERINE PATES MCbS Athletic Play 3 Home Economics Play 2 Annual Play 4 Annual Staff 4 Mrnstrel 4 No slnner and no saint perhaps EUDEAN EVELYN JENSEN Dean Declamatory contest 2 Glee club l 3 4 Operetta 3 Athletic Play 3 Secretary Treasurer 4 Vxce Presl Full of fun and mlschlef too Dorng thmgs she shouldnt do MYRTLE LOUISE NYBERG M pri Entered as Senior from Siren WIS Annual Staff To what she aspires she attams clent Glee Club 4: Basketball 3, 4, Minstlrel 4. - ' ' ' ' , ' . 4. l One Hundred Fifty-six CLASS HISTORY On the ninth of September nineteen hundred and twenty when the nine o clock bell rang forty freshmen eager to gain knowledge entered the assembly of the Frederic High school We tried to look intelligent but alas it could be seen that we lacked the necessary characteristics The first event of the year was our initiation by the sophomores We all submitted to the penalties imposed upon us After this we were ranked among the members of the hlgh school Next we organized as a class making Rolf Andresen our president Miss Best was elected class adviser Red and Whlte were chosen as the class colors the red and the white carnatlon the class flower B was to be our motto henceforth We ex perxenced a year such as only those who have been freshmen can appreclate After a pleasant summer vacation th rty one pupils of the freshmen class returned as intelligent sophomores Lois Van Hollan Cecile Weisbrod Russel Olson Floyd Lunde Calvin Andreas Allen Cruzen George MacCorm1ck and William Lockett were missing But four new members Eva Palmer Carmen Lucas Ethel Gronlund and Everett Scott brought our enrollment up to thirty five Now had come our turn to initiate the freshmen which we did in a good old fashioned way Olga Sederlund and Agatha Pates left the class before Christmas Ray Wedell Joined the Junior class l-heir absence was sadly missed by the class Again we elected Miss Best as our class adviser and chose Philip Amundson as president Thus another year passed as we Journeyed onward to our final destmatlon When September again came we found that our Junior class numbered twenty seven Rolf Andresen hthel C-ronlund Violet Olson Carmen Lucas and Everett Scott had left our ranks Oscar Brown Joined us making the number twenty eight We elected Elmer Haumont president and Mr Locke class adv ser to help keep our class in order Both boys and girls were well represented m athletics Mae Buck Constance France Mabel Pates Eudean ensen and Philip Amundson took part in the Athletlc High School m the debating contest By April 1923 our number had dwindled down to twenty one Those who had left our class were Herbert Xvlson Oscar Brown Laurence Staples Robert Hurley Geraldine Harmon Helen Xvolaver Raymond Luncleen and Robert ewell As the result of their leavmg the Junior class was left with only two boys namely Elmer Haumont and Philip Amundson ln May came the senior banquet the greatest event of the year That same month as is customary our class decorated the high school auditorium for Commencement In September our class assembled a dignified seniors There were only eighteen of us left to bear the responsibility of sen ors Five who had entered as freshmen were married Violet Peterson Esther Stuart and Hoy Norton were sadly missed but Myrtle Nyberg, Mabel Carlson and Gertrude Omacht came to us as new members However Mabel left us after a few weeks thus making our number nineteen Philip Amundson was elected president and Mr Elsner class adviser By his help we ac complished the work of seniors Our boys Elr' er and Philip took an active part m both football and basketball lN na Lillian and Eudean represented our class on the glrls basket ball team The Sauce for the C-oslmgs and Hrs Japanese Wife two one act plays were very successfully given The latter part of the year kept us the seniors busy making the Annual Magnet a success All co operated very well in the work with the help of Mr Elsner so the annual came out on time As the year came to a close finals took up much of the time Many seniors could be seen on moonlight nights when the world was full of life gazing solemnly on their physics or English textbooks with the hope in mmd that they would make a success Now that our high school days are just about to close and we are about to receive our diplomas we think back upon the four years with Joy wishing that they had not passed so rapidly We wish to express our sincere thanks to our teachers for their Page Thirteen l-'. . , ' 7 , 9 I , .
