As usual we were shy and slightly bewildered. Included in this group were Lee Hahne , Qrville Riege, Leonard Lemka, Keith Block, Louisa Botsford, Elaine 5 A I Anderson, Barbara Wallen, Martha Stilwell, Shirley Isaacs, and rv- 4: Myrna c Knake. We were soon duly initiated by the seniors, and after that the going - Q- so hard. We elected as our class officers for the year-- S--- ,- Pres.--Martha Stilwell, Vice Pres.--Barbara Wallen, Sec.-Tr-eas. -Keith Block. During the year Gerald Mannschreck joined forces with us. In September 1951 we returned for our sophomore year. We 1111 lost Myrna Knake who transferred to Avoca Hi . Our class was active in sports, music, and other school activities throughout the year. Our class officers this year were-- Pres.--Louisa Botsford, Vice Pres.--Keith Block, Sec.-Treas.-- Orville Riege. At the beginning of our junior year we gained a new classmate, Dwayne Witt, who transferred from Syracuse. This year was a busy one for us. In the fall we presented our class play, Faith, Hope, and Flarity. We had the honor of being the first class to present their play in the new audi- torium. .X . In the spring we entertained the seniors wit 13 a banquet Q he at the Colonial Cup in Lincoln. Our A theme was A Colonial Scene. Our officers 'Q were-- Pres.- Barbara Wallen, Vice Pres.-- Q 'iq-:ig 'Elaine Anderson, Sec.-Treas.--Martha Stilwell. ur At last the year we had been waiting for was here--we were now seniors. In addition to being occupied with school work and extracurricular activities there were many other events to be remembered. In the fall we attended Career Day at Nebr. City, we journeyed to Lincoln and had our pictures taken, we were guests at a senior mixer along with seniors from Palmyra and Douglas. After Christmas we were busy working on the CARDINAL, 'xiamtfs present- ?aN ing our class play, Tree Points Inn , planning our Vsneak day, f and making preparations for Commencement. We were royally ente ned at a banquet given in our honor by the juniors.
