' : I I -fl I CHORUS THE MIXED CHORUS HAD 18 MEMBERS THIS YEAR, THEY MADE THEIR FIRST APPEARANCE AT CHRISTMAS TIME WHEN THEY SANS A GROUP OF CAROLS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES, IN MARCH THEY PRESENTED AN OPERETTA, 'BELLE OF THE WEST' AND IN APRIL WENT TO LA GRANDE FOR THE REGIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL. WITH THE BAND, THE CHORUS PRESENTED A CONCERT FOR THE TOWN IN THE LATE SPRING, SEVERAL OF THE MEMBERS WERE SELECTED TO ATTEND THE 'MUSIC FOR MAY' FESTIVAL AT PACIFIC UNIVERSITY. BAND THE UKIAH BAND OF TWENTY FOUR MEMBERS HADITS BEST SEASON THIS YEAR, A SOUSAPHONE WAS ADDED AND THE CORNET SECTION ENLARGED, FOR THE FIRST TIME THE BAND PLAYED AT BASKET BALL GAMES ALSO MAKING SEVERAL OTHER APPEAR- ANCES DURING THE YEAR CULMINATING IN THE ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT, A CONCERT WAS PRESENTED AT STANFIELD APRIL 6 AND THE BAND PARTICIPATED IN THE SPRING FESTP IVAL AT LA GRANDE, SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE BAND WERE SELECTED FOR THE 'MUSIC FOR MAY' BAND AT PACIFIC UNIVERSITY.
