On 6 July I948, fhe 5+h Armored Division was reac+iva'l'ed as a fraining division. A+ ihis fime, i'he division was based af Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. From Ocfober I948 unfil March I949, 'I'he division followed an eigh'I' week fraining program. ln March I949 +he program was increased +o I4 weeks.
