REFTRA CREFRESHER TRAINING With over 5,500 men aboard, and virtually every service available to us that is offered in an average metropolitan area, ENTERPRISE is truly a 'cfloating cityf' And, one might be led to believe that because she is surrounded by water that fires wouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong. One of the deadliest forces aboard ship is uncontrolled fire, smoke and other similar types of battle damage that any realistic man would plan for in a combat situation. To this end, every crewmember is required to attain a degree of damage control proficiency while stationed here. And, to ensure our readiness we test ourselves time and time again. But it's taken one step further when it's called Refresher Training QREFTRAJ. An inspection team from COMNAVAIRPAC came aboard to give us an independent evaluation, in our case, the results were nothing less than outstanding. With nowhere to go when tragedy strikes, we must be ready to control, minimize and repair damage, and continue as a combat capable ship. Damage Control is a grave concern aboard any ship, and for ENTERPRISE it's another job taken very seriously and done very professionally.
