Text from Pages 1 - 168 of the 1981 volume:

On March 14, 1976, our school lost an honor student, athlete and friend. Jimmy Elder would have graduated with our 1981 Senior Class, but due to Leukemia, this was prevented. With this in mind we dedicate the 1981 TITAN in honor and memory of Jimmy Elder. Thinking of Him I think of him often-, But what do I think? I think of days of clowning. And never ending fun. I think of him hunting and That oversized gun. I think of him as a student. With good grades to boast. I think of his personality, Much better than most. I think of him as an athlete. And a loyal sports fan. I think of his never ending faith. As soon as the game began. I think of how he suffered And feel it isn’t fair. I’m thinking of a better place. And know that he is there.
