It takes nimble minds as well as nimble fingers to master the pot- hooks of shorthand. Student teach- er, Marie Grzymkowske, helps her class translate a letter. Our typing classes are always big. The extreme practicality ot learning typing for a iob or typing for one's self makes it a popular course. Typing is fum it keeps fingers and mind busy, as well as affords an opportunity to be in Mr. Robert's class. Here he explains the parts of o typewriter to his avid listeners.

In tact in the many years that Miss Ashley taught she became as much a tradition and essential part ot T.H.S. as the old oak trees, However, this summer after forty-one years ot service, Miss Ashley resigned her position at T,H.S., much to our sorrow.

Joseph Hagler is aware of the camera- Henry Hannah, Fred Brown, Donald Rosenfield, and Andra Weams watch Jimmy Dollar. IIRIVI Billy Sims, Nellie Joe Posey, Levada Nolan, Horton Barnes, Raiford Johnson, Mr. Hender- son and Martha McConnell not only know how to drive a car but also how to recognize the parts of an engine. When teeneagers are taught in this course, they become careful drivers, mindful of the rules of the highway, and the responsibility of driving. Watch the flame! Before long Bill Maddox will be sporting a silver ring, These boys de- velop much skill in metal work. Gordon Greg- ory and Billy Potts seem to understand all this.
