A new stage in our lives was just beginning. Remember our first rally when the cheerleaders yelled, Ixt’s hear it from the Freshmen!,” and we were all speechless. Remember our first Booster Day, and the Lion we made? It looked so big in the garage. Then there was the trouble we had getting it out of the garage. The Lion was our first loss. Remember the last Freshman Welcome? It was ours . Remember when Kearin LaRoche won the toilet paper rolling contestant Doug Couture came in second? This was our first year of high school but our only year in the good ole Turners Falls High School. When June came we were ready to continue. SOPHOMORES 1973-1974 Our second year of high school started just like our first. We entered the new Turners Falls High School as Sophomores, but everyone felt like Freshmen. Remember our first rally as Sopho- mores? We actually spelled it right! The theme for Booster Day was Walt Disney that year and we made Winnie the Pooh. Ever- yone thought it was going to win, but ... it was our second loss. Remember getting our class rings? When we got them nobody could figure out the Indian. Then there were all the car washes down at Escott’s Garage? We got wetter than the cars! That con- cluded our second year of High School, and now we felt a little more confident in the new school. 46 History [ JUNIORS 1974-1975 We entered our third year of high school knowing that there ? were finally going to be some kids that would be more lost than j we were. The theme for Booster Day was ecology. Remember j our float made only from scrap materials? (What ever it was!) ? It I was our third loss. Remember our prom at the Northfield Inn J Carriage House?! By the end of our third year we were confident I and anxious to continue. i SENIORS 1975-1976 I We entered TFHS for our last year. Nobody felt like a Senior, 1} but we all knew we’d be leaving in June. The theme for Booster I Day was the Bicentennial. Remember our Drum? It came in Sec- ( ond. It was the first time we didn’t come in last. As we leave TFHS many memories and friends will stay behind, but they will be treasured forever. 1976 — It was a very good year!
